This market-leading, Plymouth-based organisation, is looking for a new Managing Director, who can continue to build on the company’s recent successes, as growth is very much on the agenda for future years.

The existing, highly regarded, Managing Director is set to retire at Christmas. A period of handover has been factored into the Company’s timings, that will allow for a period of handover and transition to this role. After this time, you’ll very much ‘hold the reigns’ and be expected to work independently, to lead the organisation with minimal input or guidance from others.

Ideally, we’re looking for an experienced Managing Director however this role could equally suit a Senior Manager looking to transition who can demonstrate they have the skills, reputation and personality required.

Background-wise you MUST have had SOME experience working within the lettings industry. You’ll be an inspiring, visionary leader, who’s both sales and people driven. Whilst focused on the numbers, in detail, across the business you’ll also be able to show that you genuinely put the people at the heart of everything you do.

The company has grown very quickly and in some respects their systems and processes are ‘catching up’ - as a result you will need to be someone who prizes systems and structure and can lead the evolution of both of these within the business.

The company’s ‘heart’ is impressive and they’re known for doing the right thing, always. You can be assured of joining a good business that will ‘back you’ and that strives for excellent in all they do. Customer satisfaction levels are very high and this is something that must continue.

While the company’s in a good place - with no problems for you to come in and resolve specifically - of course the UK market has changed somewhat this year and they’ll be looking for you to help them evolve where required and ensure they’re ‘future proof’ - they’ll be looking to you to come in with a fresh pair of eyes and take a look at how things are managed and make changes for the better, where you can.

Person-wise this is going to suit someone who’s looking to take on their next challenge, who’s excited by the role but is also a ‘values fit’ to the business. You’ll be excited by the organisation’s growth plans, the ability to truly take control of the direction/success of the business and the contribution you’re going to be able to make long-term.
