I’m working with a successful IT company who have a focus on quality and a great reputation. This role is key to providing a quick response and resolution to their clients’ issues with hardware, software, and network systems. As well as reacting to inbound calls, you’ll also help with the configuration and deployment of new IT solutions and work with the wider team to help develop services to meet client needs.
Your responsibilities as an IT Helpdesk Technician include:
Responding to, analysing and diagnosing client IT issues that come in via phone, email and helpdesk in line with SLA’s
Setting up and installing hardware, software and network services as required, both remotely and on site
Ensuring a high standard of client satisfaction through clear communication, ensuring they are kept informed with progress, managing client expectation and aiming to identify and prevent repeat issues
Assisting with supporting internal systems and services such as the website
The key skills, experience and attributes we’re looking for:
Previous experience in an IT support role is essential
Administration of common IT processes including user account management, network shares etc
Troubleshooting LAN, WLAN and WAN issues and familiarity with common components including switches, access points, routers, firewalls
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, common client and server hardware platforms, Microsoft Directory, productivity and cloud services (such as AD, Microsoft 365, Office 365, Exchange Online) and cyber security principles
Microsoft Certifications are desirable
Excellent communication skills and a professional approach
Methodical, logical, organised and able to use own initiative
Due to the nature or the role, you will need to be able to drive and have a valid driving license.. You will predominantly be office based, but will be able and willing to complete any work required on site too.
