​We’re recruiting for a company with global reach, who are looking for a new member to join their team. Working with large volumes of data (in excess of 50,000 product lines), you will be responsible for analysing pricing across all areas of the business to identify patterns, margin opportunities, and opportunities for better price management. Using SQL and BI tools, you will analyse and report on the results of pricing decisions versus sales, and will make suitable recommendations to ensure minimum margins are delivered and sales opportunities are realised.

Your key responsibilities and tasks:

  • Effective management of pricing related data and reporting – across different brands, products and categories

  • Interrogating multiple systems and cross checking to ensure data is valid

  • Working closely with the IT team to communicate any required updates to data

  • Analysing pricing opportunities on a daily basis and communicating those with the wider business

  • Helping to automate and develop processes

  • Developing, preparing and presenting key pricing performance metrics

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to implement price increases/decreases

Skills and experienced required:

  • Previous work experience within a process-driven and data orientated role

  • SQL / T-SQL querying and data structure experience

  • Excel skills of an Intermediate level

  • Ability to manipulate and manage large and complex data sets

  • Prioritisation skills – you’ll be managing multiple data and reporting requests

  • Someone who is able to communicate complex data in a clear and simple format

  • Working with multiple data owners across different departments and organisations

  • Able to make effective decisions and explain your reasoning

  • Strong attention to detail and a natural problem solver
