Earlier this year, Sarah West’s Recruitment Consultant Lisa set up the group as a way of bringing together those responsible for HR in local organisations.
“I work with a large number of people who are responsible for HR and while there are lots of networking opportunities, there wasn’t anything specific for this group. And there was definitely an appetite for one!
“The feedback’s been really positive and it’s a great way of people developing links with others in similar roles, sharing ideas and best practice.
“There’s normally a guest speaker covering a relevant topic, plus there’s time for general discussion. If you’re in an HR role or it’s part of your job and would like to come along and meet others doing similar – just send me an email and I’ll send over all the details of July’s meeting.”
Air Marketing Group’s HR Manager Sam Bennett said “As well as getting the chance to develop my understanding of different topics through the guest speakers, the group’s also a great sounding board. There’s a huge amount of knowledge in the room that we can all tap in to and we’re all happy to share our own experiences too.”
