Area Sales Manager - Patient Care
Up to £40k + bonus (up to £10k performance based)
Midlands

We’re looking for an ambitious, highly motivated individual with a background in selling patient care equipment, specifically in the Healthcare, NHS and Care Home sectors. We’re representing a national manufacturer with big plans for growth in 2024 and adding to their area sales team is of high priority to get them where they want to be. This person will add real impact to the business, finding and developing new accounts and relationships across the Midlands up to the North.

The role:-

  • Proactively identify and develop business within your territory, driving growth to hit revenue targets.

  • Establishing yourself in the Patient Care industry as the go-to for equipment to enhance patients’ day-to-day care and quality of life.

  • Regularly attend client meetings, building long-term, profitable relationships

  • Attend trade shows and networking events to identify prospects and kick-start potential new business conversations.

  • Utilising your strong knowledge of the NHS, Care Homes and OT/ other Clinical Specialists to sell the right equipment into the right departments, connecting with key decision makers and highlighting your knowledge of the market.

  • A mix of Account Management and Business Development with an emphasis on new business acquisition.

  • The ability to think strategically and think outside the box with a commercial mindset to create opportunities in your territory.

  • Working alongside dealers and distributors, showing a clear understanding of the benefits of partnerships and building strong assessor relationships.

  • Demonstrating products, showing potential new clients the benefits of the equipment, answering their concerns and encouraging the sale forward.


The person:-

  • Ideally a minimum of 3 years’ experience working within the patient care field, specifically selling equipment utilised to improve quality of life and day-to-day care.

  • We’re looking for someone tenacious who doesn’t shy away from challenging situations, enjoys securing new deals and working to targets.

  • Demonstrated experience achieving targets, both new business and revenue retention.

  • Strong sales experience selling into the NHS, Care Homes, Private Healthcare, Occupational Therapists, and other clinical specialists.

  • Full clean UK driving license

  • The ability and want to travel across territory to develop and grow the area.

  • Self-motivated, able to work autonomously and remotely.
