    This is a brand-new role, created by this well-established and already hugely successful organisation, due to their continued growth – both current and planned.

    We’ve recently placed this organisation’s Senior Business Development Manager, who is now in the process of building the team significantly. They are recruiting for two new team members immediately however the plan is to grow the team further once these two posts are in place and have got up to speed. There could therefore be progression opportunities available, pretty quickly, for the right person.

    This role is all about identifying potential new customers and managing them through the sales cycle. This will more than likely include putting proposals and tender documents together, as well as presenting to clients too. Additionally, you’ll be expected to reengage lapsed customers as well as follow up on warm leads – this organisation receives a large number of enquiries every day.

    As well as being someone who’s 100% focused and determined to bring in new business, you’ll also have the ability to nurture and build relationships for the longer term too, as you’ll be managing any new accounts you bring in, for at least the first 12 months.

    All the customers you’ll be dealing with are B2B and range from local SME’s through to large corporates that operate globally.

    We are looking for someone with proven sales ability, who has a consultative approach, who’s very much a people person. This is a close knit, lovely team so you must have a likeable personality, combined with that fierce drive to succeed.

    You’ll mainly be based at the company’s head office in Exeter however there may be the need to do some client meetings face-to-face but this isn’t expected to be a regular thing. Likewise going along to, for example, networking and other events may be needed to seek out and maintain new and existing customer relationships but again this isn’t expected to be week-in, week-out.
