      As an Account Director/Team Leader you will manage a team of Business Development Executives and Account Executives. You will uphold company values and be responsible for assisting with achieving company goals and targets. You will motivate your team, assess and drive performance and assist the Senior Leadership team with management, training, hiring and team performance updates.

      You will also be responsible for Account Directorship, owning the relationship with several clients and holding ultimate responsibility for the strategic direction and the success of their campaigns and working relationship with the company. You will be supported by your Account Executives with this activity.

      You will be ‘hands on’ making sales calls and showing your team how it’s done! You will also be trained to handle and take your fair share of inbound leads giving you the opportunity to earn addition commission.

      You’ll be valued, challenged, rewarded and you’ll have fun in this fast-paced environment.

      To be successful in this role you need previous experience managing sales teams and meeting sales quotas yourself. Full, continuous training will be provided throughout, and you will be assisted through a personal development plan. You will need to be motivated, resilient, results-driven, and enjoy working in a team. This is a challenging role and you’ll need to be good at almost everything.       You’ll also make sure existing and future supporters are kept up to date with the charity’s plans, successes and any other relevant updates.

      The head office for the charity is based in Exeter and it’s envisaged you’ll spend a couple of days a week there. As well as another location in the South West, there are two others in the UK and having done a similar role, you’ll be someone who understands that travel is part and parcel of this job.

      Who we’re looking for 

      You’ll be someone who’s able to show a true passion for the work this charity does!

      It goes without saying that you’ll be a great people person. You’ll be working with a large number of stakeholders that’ll include the Board of Trustees, major donors and corporate supporters for example. Equally you’ll be happy to manage relationships at a more local level and be happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in!

      As the charity continues to grow, you’ll manage a small team that’ll include other fundraisers and an event manager who’ll be there to support you in your role too.

      Our client is on the hunt for a Business Development Manager to join a small but brilliant team based in Exeter. This is a brand new role to increase a growing client base and will mainly consist of cold calling potential new business from a handy database and sell some great products in the Education sector. Your role will be to pre-sell to brand new clients and pass over qualified leads to the account management team to continue the sale and starting building those important relationships.

      The role will be school term time only so ideal for anyone with young children who can spend the whole school holiday off guilt-free! You must have a passion for sales, be driven by targets and enjoying talking to a wide range of people everyday. You will be working along side a small team of lovely people so being a team player is important.  Selling into the education sector is not a must, but would be advantageous.

      Hours are Monday – Friday 9.15 am – 5pm (these can be flexible for the right person) with 40 mins for lunch and two 10 minute power/refuelling breaks. The right person will have a background in cold calling/telesales and proven experience working to and hitting targets. You will be enthusiastic, passionate, excited by a challenge, customer focused and a problem solver.
