Based in the Exeter Head Office, you will be responsible for everything marketing related from all things strategy to implementation across all marketing channels (including the Devon County Show) for the business and both of the brands they sell.
Ideally you will be a strong generalist marketer and will have experience of building a brand within an organisation that has a high turnover as well as managing six figure budgets. Experience of developing lead generation campaigns would be distinct bonus.
Strategy – working alongside the management team, coming up with the marketing strategy to support the existing and future plans for the organisation
Creating all engaging content for online/offline marketing such as social media, websites, collateral
Making sure all content is SEO focused
Managing all paid social accounts
Creating exciting designs and product listings for use on the website
Using analytics to measure the performance of all marketing activity/spend
Producing videos of products for online use
Engaging in any PR and influencer opportunities
What you will need to succeed:
Experience with the full Adobe creative suite
Good writing skills (SEO focused)
Experience of analysing campaigns and being able to report
Experience of CMS and managing and updating websites
Previous experience of building a polished brand
Previous experience organising and attending events
Although this is a full time role, there may be some flexibility on start/finish times for the right person.

Day-to-day you’ll work closely with the Account Managers to deliver various online and offline campaigns for different clients. It is a really broad role where you will be given the chance to learn about all aspects of marketing. A large part of this role will involve producing first-class content for a variety of channels and therefore you’ll be someone who thoroughly enjoys transforming words and visuals in to something meaningful and compelling for a variety of audiences, both B2B and B2C. In this role you’ll also get the opportunity to manage digital/social media channels, media monitoring, support events etc. You’ll be someone who’s prepared to get ‘hands on’ in order to get the results the clients are looking for.
You’ll also get the chance to support the management of different client accounts too – for example reporting on campaign progress and results, pitching for (and winning!) new business. Therefore, you’ll need to be someone who’s professional and confident when dealing with people in person and over the phone.

You’ll be joining a small team, reporting in to the Digital Marketing Manager and working alongside an SEO Executive and Email Marketing Manager. As the company and the team are going from strength to strength, there will be development and progression opportunities for the right person.
The company tends to work with high profile, global brands across different industries and essentially your role will be to come up with ideas for compelling copy and turning those ideas in to first-class articles on industry-related topics, product/service promotional material, blog posts etc. The audience you’ll be writing for is all B2B.
What you’ll be doing
Have a good understanding of customer needs and identify any gaps in the organisation’s current content
Continually review the content library to make sure it’s relevant and up to date
Carry out in-depth research to support the production of informative and insightful content
Proofreading of all material produced by the Marketing team
Carry out keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
What previous experience do you need?
Proven experience in a similar role, either in-house or agency – you’ll be able to show examples of your previous work
You’ll be creative, an excellent writer and someone who can translate complex messages in to plain English
Previous experience of writing SEO-friendly copy
Producing content for a B2B role is a must
It goes without saying that you’ll be someone who can show they are able to meet copy deadlines
It would be an added bonus if you’ve had experience of working within a technology-based organisation, SaaS or marketing industry.
