Are you looking for a new role in an innovative, fast growing, and forward thinking business as a Systems (Business) Analyst? Your role will be to understand and document the needs of stakeholders across the business in order to design, develop and deliver new and existing software solutions to meet those needs.
Your responsibilities as Systems (Business) Analyst will include:
Work with 3rd party developers to manage the development and design of new software solutions by analysing business requirements; studying existing system capabilities; constructing use case diagrams; writing scoping and requirement specifications; analysing and managing risks; developing implementation and training plans
Collate and prioritise stakeholder feedback for existing in-house systems
Be responsible for delivering regular project status updates as well as conducting sprint, demo and retrospective reviews
Work with the relevant stakeholders to ensure that enhancements and new developments are delivered on time, to the expected quality and on budget
Communicate system changes to users
Provide 3rd line support for the company’s applications (office management CRM / booking system, Office 365 and other bespoke franchise support applications)
Produce and maintain documentation for the company’s bespoke IMS applications (including user guides, procedural specs and technical specs)
Be aware of technology advances to make our solutions more beneficial to stakeholders
Provide training for the company’s bespoke applications for all staff
Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with Head Office staff, the Franchise Network and 3rd party suppliers
Assist/ provide support for the IT Support Officer in the delivery of IT support for Head Office staff and the Franchise network.
In your role, as the Systems (Business) Analyst, you will be the person who deals with anyone and everyone at all levels and in all departments so will naturally be a people person, someone who can “translate” tech info. You will be a self-starter, preferably worked, or have an understanding of Agile and dealing with 3rd party development agencies, or perhaps you will be been a developer yourself. As well as a skilled negotiator, developing relationships with all stakeholders you will also have experience of delivering a product. There will be a need to do some travel, but in the main you will be office based. The environment is one that is lively, open plan and you will hot desk.
My client, who is based in the centre of Exeter are looking for a Paraplanner to join their team. They are an independent company who mainly deal with high net worth clients. The culture is very much one of “No Blame”, open and will see you working on a diverse portfolio for both new and existing clients. It is not one that is focussed on the sales of products to its clients, but one where relationships are nurtured and long term.
The role is full time with the standard working hours of 9.00am – 5.00pm, however there is flexibility for the exact hours worked. You will work in a team of 5-6 people, and be expected to challenge when you believe there is a better way / option.
L & D is also a part of this role where you will be expected to undertake an annual plan to allowed your CPD.
Your role as Paraplanner will see you carrying out:
Analysing of clients’ requirements, development of cash flow models and accurate recording of client data
Construction of financial planning solutions (investment, retirement, tax and estate planning) supported by the production of computer models and reports
Recommendations – preparation of letters and reports (liaising with administrators), taking full responsibility for the client file and back office IT records throughout the advice process
Reviews – preparation of client reviews, updating cash flow models, investment performance reviews and production of supporting reports, discussion documents and computer models
Relationship Building – liaison with clients by telephone, letter, email and attending meetings
Coordination – working with administrative staff to ensure application and provider forms are prepared as required and clients are updated throughout the process.
As a Paraplanner, we are looking for someone who has:
Excellent interpersonal skills; able to listen, empathise and build trust with confident private clients who are frequently successful in their field of endeavour
Diploma – Level 4 minimum
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Able to analyse and interpret quantitative and qualitative data with a view to diagnosing a challenge or opportunity and creating a suitable strategy for the client
Presenting solutions to Advisers and in some cases clients
Tactful, trustworthy, diplomatic and able to maintain confidentiality at all times
Ability to effectively use a variety of software (ie MS Office, CURO, Voyant, Finametrica)
Comfortable working on own initiative, setting and managing personal goals, directing workflow and managing often conflicting deadlines.
