    • Retail Product Coordinator
      Exeter
      £26,000

This is a brand-new role, working for a hugely successful, global market leader who are looking for someone to develop the size and visibility of their retail sales channel offering.

Whilst this route to market is already established, their focus has been on the wholesale side of the business to date. Therefore, they’re looking for someone who has previous retail, merchandising or marketing experience to develop the retail sales strategy and manage its rollout across the UK.

What will you be doing as the Retail Product Coordinator:

As this is a newly created role, this is the perfect opportunity to make this your own! However, you’ll be expected to engage with new and existing retail customers to understand what’s going to raise the profile of this company’s product range to drive sales. This could be through the creation of new marketing material, a retail-specific visual identity, merchandising displays or promotional campaigns for example.

Once you’ve got the information you need, in conjunction with other internal teams, you’ll develop a UK-wide retail market strategy and plan. It’s expected that you’ll develop a close working relationship with the marketing and sales teams in particular.

After the initial rollout, you’ll continue to evaluate the retail sector’s success. You’ll working closely with existing customers to understand what works, or where changes need to be made to drive sales. Seeking out new customers will also be part of your role, so you’ll be someone who’s happy to contact prospects and develop and nurture relationships to grow the retail pipeline.

To help you keep on top of the company’s product strategy and ongoing developments, you’ll be managing a small number of accessory products yourself, throughout the product lifecycle. This will include looking at market needs, identifying trends, researching potential suppliers and reacting to market opportunities, amongst other things.

It’s expected that there’ll be some UK travel but you’ll be no means out ‘on the road’ week-in, week-out. It’s estimated that you’ll be out of the office one week every two or three months.

The company has a great benefits package including 25 days holiday, pension, free parking, life assurance, medical cover and much more!
