Business Development Manager – IT
£30-35k basic + uncapped commission (upwards of £60k OTE+++)
Our client is on the look out for a talented IT Business Development Manager to help support the growth of the business. The main purpose of the role will be to create new and exciting opportunities and make potential clients aware of the company’s solutions. You’ll be an integral part of the sales team and company as a whole. As a brand new role, you will be working along side the existing sales team to generate new leads, arrange appointments and proactively find new business in the South West area.
To be successful in this role you must have a solid history selling of IT support, have knowledge of the industry and have a keen interest in technology as a whole. Whilst the services they provide are varied there will be a focus on the support side of the business, dealing with decision makers of small/medium SMEs, getting your foot in the door and then consultatively selling the services you can offer. A strong history of working to targets in a B2B environment is a must.
You must be someone driven but likeable and have the ability to take a cold lead and convert it into an appointment, then appointment to sale. You must have heaps of initiative as this is very much a role where you are encouraged to hit your targets however suits you best. You must be comfortable picking up the phone but also meeting new clients face to face. We are looking for someone who never shies away from a challenge and is ready to dive straight in.
