​You’ll be working closely with the development team using a test-driven approach as the software is developed to ensure products are consistently delivered to a high standard. As a result, your role will involve supporting the testing function and trying to break the software via manual tests, with a view to moving towards more automated testing.

Your role in a nutshell:

  • Creating and executing test plans, cases and test scripts

  • Promoting good testing practices throughout the entire development lifecycle and supporting improvements to processes, tools and standards

  • Collaborating with other members of the IT team on acceptance criteria to test functional and non-functional behaviours - and identifying/creating test data needed to carry out this testing

  • Reporting any issues clearly and managing these through to resolution, escalating where appropriate

  • Getting involved with planning, estimation, retrospective, stand ups and project meetings

Skills and attributes we’re looking for:

  • Previous Manual Testing experience and an excellent understanding of the testing lifecycle and different types of testing

  • Some experience designing and writing automated tests using Selenium and/or other technologies.

  • Experience with Agile, DevOps and CD

  • Someone who is keen to develop their skills in automated testing - someone who has some experience of automation would be a bonus, but the company are willing to invest time/training in this area

  • A great problem solver, with strong analytical skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Eye for detail, organised, methodical and thorough
