We’re currently recruiting for an innovative FinTech company who are about to launch a new and highly anticipated solution to market. They have a significant amount of interest in the product which is continuing to grow, so they’re looking for Java Software Developers to join their Exeter based team.

The company have a unique offering and a pipeline of ambitious projects so it’s an exciting time to join as you’ll add real value and have a direct impact on the company’s growth. You'll have the chance to own key projects from day one, with a focus on the UI side. As the company evolves you’ll get involved with developing new features and products too.

Responsibilities as a Java Software Developer:

  • Productionising the core system, improving the administration and using a TDD approach to roll out quality code to a live environment

  • Building out a data analytics engine and a focus on the UI side

  • Working with users, technical teams and senior management to collect requirements, create product features, technical designs and product strategies

  • Reassess and troubleshoot existing code as required

  • Occasional travel (once or twice a month) to London

What skills and experience are required for the role?

  • Angular experience is essential, it’s a bonus if you have skills in both Angular and Core Java

  • Previous experience working in an Agile environment

  • Experience with DevOps tools such as AWS/Packer/Terraform/Jenkins would be beneficial

  • You’ll be passionate about code and keen to constantly learn and share knowledge

  • Someone who takes responsibility and pride in their code

  • Humility and a sense of humour

  • Knowledge of automated testing is desirable
