Business: We are representing a client who’s enjoyed exceptional growth and a business plan set for strong, albeit realistic expansion over the next two/three years. Selling to the B2B market, with in excess of 70,000 skus, including own and name-branded products, shipping to thousands of customers across the UK and world-wide.

The role: Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you’ll be responsible for the Business Credit Lead, Finance Assistant, Accounts Payable Team Lead and Trainee Management Accountants.

The main purpose of the role is to manage the shared service team for UK, Ireland, France, Spain (and any further subsidiaries) using reporting functionality available in SAP, BI and excel thus ensuring that the teams provide timely and accurate information to support the production of monthly/annual accounts.

  • Establish standard processes across the team, entities managed and systems (SAP and Sage).

  • Provide a link between the shared service team and entity accountant for financial accounting matters.

  • Use reporting functionality of SAP/SAP BI and excel to effectively analyse key data, and establish KPI’s to ensure effective and accurate operation of the purchase ledger/sales ledger functions.

  • Use SAP/SAP BI/Excel for the reporting of Aged Debts and work with sales functions to support the collection of open balances.

  • Support the resolution of outstanding purchase ledger queries by liaising with internal departments (purchasing, procurement, and warehouse) and external vendors to ensure successful completion.

  • Management of purchase ledger tasks to include the GRNI app, Stock in transit process and SPX Suspense.

  • Ensure the FEBAN process is managed correctly and in a timely manner.

  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of the financial statements.

  • Assist with both internal and external auditors.

You: You will be a Qualified accountant either in ACA, ACCA or CIMA with good verbal and written communication and excellent attention to detail. You’ll be flexible, organised and have the proven ability to manage good client relationships with ease. Be a team player, with a polite and friendly manner. Able to work under pressure and to a set deadline is key so you’ll need to be a master at managing time effectively. Some leadership experience would be highly desirable.

In return: Salary: £37,000 p.a. 37.50 hours p.w., Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:15pm, with a daily 45-minute break, plus……
