Are you looking for a new challenge? We’re searching for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join a friendly, welcoming and high quality IT company based in Exeter.

You’ll be responsible for onboarding and supporting SME’s (both remotely and onsite) and delivering comprehensive IT solutions. Your role will be a mix of project work and dealing with escalations from the Service Desk.

What your role will involve in a nutshell:

  • ·Providing 3rd Line technical support to customers and acting as an escalation point in order to resolve issues quickly and effectively

  • ·Meeting with clients to discuss business technology needs and available options and solutions

  • ·Planning, designing and implementing IT solutions for clients - help with the selection of the most appropriate hardware/software/technical solution

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • ·Someone from a managed services background would be highly beneficial

  • ·Project implementation experience

  • ·Confident with Windows operating systems

  • ·Experience with network troubleshooting tools and networks including routers and switches, TCP/IP, MS Exchange, AD, Antivirus software and Backup solutions

  • ·Knowledge of virtualisation platforms in particular Hyper-V or VMWARE

  • ·Previous experience working with various external software and hardware suppliers

  • ·Excellent knowledge of client/server technology and Microsoft products

  • ·Relevant qualifications would be advantageous (MSP, MCSA, MCSE)

Personality wise you’ll need to be a team player, have excellent communication and prioritisations skills, client orientated, flexible, versatile and pragmatic.

As part of this role will see you out and about, you’ll need to be able to drive and have your own car - although there are company pool cars available.

They’re currently working remotely due to Covid restrictions, and are looking to adopt a long-term hybrid approach to working.
