​A leading Exeter-based technology company are in search of an Agile Coach to join their innovative and friendly team on a permanent basis. You’ll take overall responsibility for the adoption and continued improvement of agile methodologies within the development teams, and will help with projects to design market leading applications.

Working closely with the Technical Lead and reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will oversee two scrum teams which make up the wider development team. They will be working on projects, products and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your role will be to ensure quality within the development lifecycle and to provide facilitation of events, story mapping and design sessions through enabling methods and strong leadership skills. You will be someone who actively seeks out better ways of working, and facilitates conversation and collaboration.

We’re looking for someone who has an extensive knowledge in product, technical and business domains as you’ll help Product Managers and Owners to build backlogs and define value.

Skills and experience you’ll need:
  • At least 3 years’ as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach

  • Someone who has previously worked with teams in the early stages of agile development

  • A Scrum Master qualification (Scrum Alliance or Scrum.org)

  • Experience of helping a business or large department move towards agile ways of working, and an awareness of the challenges that brings

  • Working experience of coaching, mentoring and teaching cross-functional delivery teams using shu-ha-ri, plan-do-check-act and iterative and incremental improvements

  • Experience working with product, feature and component teams is desirable

Current toolsets:
  • Atlassian - Jira / Confluence

  • Gdrive - GDocs / GSheets

  • Office - Word / Excel

Useful knowledge:
  • RetroTool or similar

  • Teams

  • Sharepoint

Please note: Due to Covid-19 this role will initially be remote full-time. After Covid the company will shift to partial remote working, where you will be required to be in the office for 2 days a week as a minimum.
