Due to our continued growth, Sarah West Recruitment is on the lookout for an Operations Coordinator to join and support our busy team. We're the chosen recruitment partner of many successful and ambitious organisations across Exeter, the South West and beyond. With many of them continuing to grow – we’re thrilled to be so busy!

Our values are central to the way we work – we do everything with a good heart, we stick to our promises, we’re adaptable and curious. It's very different working here than in the 'high street' agencies – it’s less about the numbers, much more about doing a great job. So, we’re very much looking for someone who shares those values too.

The Operations Coordinator role is internally facing and is all about making sure that Sarah West Recruitment is operating in the best and most efficient way possible. You’ll be responsible for our facilities, systems, processes, reporting and compliance, as well as having the opportunity to get involved with project work that supports our MD, Sarah. Ultimately, we’re looking for someone who’ll become the expert/’go-to’ person within the team, when it comes to the operational side of the business.

We’re looking for someone with some previous, relevant experience of supporting a team. It goes without saying that full training will be given on our systems etc. however we’d love someone to come in with a fresh pair of eyes and have the ability/confidence to make changes, for the better, if there are things we could do differently.

In terms of what you’ll be doing, the role will be a mix of:

  • Reporting: Including financials and other information to track team performance

  • Systems: Being our in-house ‘super user’ on all of our internal systems

  • Compliance: Making sure that we continue to operate in a compliant and efficient way – particularly when it comes to GDPR

  • Policies and procedures: Ensuring that all the necessary policies and procedures are in place and kept up to date

  • Facilities: Managing our office, including all of our equipment and supplies and being responsible for Health and Safety

  • General team support – this might include arranging team socials, providing support for events we’re involved with etc.

 Essentially, we’re looking for:

  • Someone professional, highly organised, who has an eye for detail and is keen to learn

  • A ‘people person’ with previous experience of supporting a team

  • The ability to coordinate a varied workload and juggle priorities

  • The desire to always do a great job, high standards and a good sense of humour

We have a lovely office based at Darts Farm and a close-knit and happy team. You’ll be joining a company with clear plans to grow and innovate, which means there’s opportunity here for personal development. There are also other benefits including a team ‘fun’ budget, commitment to ongoing in-house and external training, private healthcare...amongst other things.

Although we’re advertising this as a full-time role, there is some flexibility for the right person – reduced hours could be an option.
