Our award-winning client is looking for a Management Information Analyst/Developer to join their MI team. This will initially be on a 1 year fixed-term contract basis, but this will be reviewed at the end of the contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact with a company who are continuing to grow and push on with recruitment despite recent events.
The focus of the role is to provide accessible, accurate, consistent and timely management information which will be used to inform business decisions and support overall business efficiency. You’ll also develop and improve and suite or reports and dashboards using TSQL and Power BI.
Key responsibilities as the MI Analyst/Developer:
Using advanced TSQL in SSMS to write queries and stored procedures, build SSIS packages from a range of different data sources
Maintenance of SSRS and transferring some reports to Power BI
Working closely with the MI team to develop a new suite of reports in Power BI
Testing new data structures to ensure outputs meet business requirements
Improve existing dashboards and reports, using visualisations to enhance understanding of the data and communicate any relevant trends or patterns
Liaise with end users to ensure issues are identified and resolved promptly
Provide ad-hoc analysis and data on business information as requested
The skills and experience you’ll need:
TSQL, SSMS, SSIS, SSRS: Experience writing SQL queries and complex stored procedures
Confident and experienced user of Power BI, DAX
Able to work with complex, non-standard data structures
Advanced user of Microsoft Office - especially Excel
Excellent numerical and analytical skills and someone who is interested in learning new technologies
Experience of source control (ideally Git) would be beneficial, but not essential
It would be advantageous if you’ve worked within ITIL framework, but not essential
Someone who is self-motivated, takes ownership and pride in their work
