We’re recruiting for a successful company who have been established for over 80 years and operate across the UK. Over the years they’ve innovated and kept their focus on their customers which has hugely contributed to their success and reputation.

They are significantly investing in their technology (time, focus and money) and with a further push to evolve and improve, they’re looking to recruit a Lead Developer to join the team. Reporting into the CTO, this focus of this role is to help resolve some of the technical and process debt they’ve accumulated, and to design and deploy integrations and automations to increase efficiency.

Working with stakeholders across the business, you’ll map out processes and then deliver opportunities for simplification, digitisation and automation. You’ll put apps, integrations and automations in place to enable the operational teams to self-serve and will build reports to help commercial teams make better informed decisions.

You will also be responsible for line managing one Database Developer initially, although it’s likely the team will grow as the success and benefits of automation become more evident.

It is a broad, varied and hands-on role - and as the company are just starting this journey, there will be plenty of opportunity to influence the future technology strategy too.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Hands-on expertise of relational database design, SQL and the Microsoft Power Platform suite (particularly PowerBI, Power Flow, Power Apps, SSIS)

  • ASP.NET/Azure/Kotlin/Swift/React.js experience

  • Self-motivated, resourceful, curious and a natural problem solver

  • Pragmatic and customer-focused

  • Able to prioritise and say ‘no’ when required

You’ll be given the flexibility to define your working hours depending on your projects, so although the standard hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm, these hours can be adjusted to suit your needs. The role will predominantly be remote, but if you prefer to work from an office this can be accommodated. There may also be occasional travel across the UK, but this will be infrequent and planned in advance.

In return you’ll get an excellent benefits package including a competitive holiday allowance which increases with service, company perks and discounts, gym membership, training and more!
