IT Project Planner (Also known as Project Co-ordinator, Project Administrator)

Up to £28,000pa

Plymouth based ideally. There are other locations - Bristol or Cornwall so not a game-changer – Hybrid working following successful probation period will be available.

We’re working with one of the region’s fastest growing IT companies and now they’re on the lookout for a talented Project Planner to continue their success.  

This is not a traditional project role; it’s about planning and co-ordinating the sales function with technical deliver team to bridge the gap and ensure the projects are delivered efficiently on time and within budget.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Work closely with technical team to plan and schedule all ongoing projects to successful completion

  • Take responsibility as project planner to track project deliverables, monitor progress and communicate status updates to customers.

  • Facilitate project meetings to focus teams on accountabilities and objectives

  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly management reporting packages regarding projects completed and in progress

  • Work with project teams to ensure documentation, supporting materials and project plans are updated and readily available for internal teams and senior leaders

  • Take an innovative, creative approach to planning projects and resource scheduling, keeping teams updated and ensuring an interactive and ongoing dialogue

You’ll have

  • Proven experience with project planning and scheduling

  • Experience of scheduling IT services projects

  • Lead by example approach to work, being hands-on and proactive

  • Strong client-facing and internal communication skills, with close attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills

  • Experience working with Microsoft Projects 

A real bonus

  • PRINCE II or similar certification

  • An understanding of IT and experience in working in an IT business
