***Sarah West Recruitment is managing this role on behalf of Air Marketing Group and if you apply, you accept that your information will automatically be sent to the Air Marketing team.***

It's an exciting time for Air Marketing as their team continues to grow and the business goes from strength to strength - that includes the recent announcement that they're now the official sales agency for the Exeter Chiefs. With a team of over 60, their busy HR Manager is now looking for an Assistant, to help provide HR support across all areas of the organisation.

You'll be supporting an award-winning, diverse, professional team that are incredibly proud of what they do and the team-orientated culture they operate in. Air Marketing is very much an organisation that recognises, celebrates and supports each member of the team - and as their HR Assistant, you'll be a key part of this – by making sure that everyone is cared for and motivated to be the best they can be.

They have a vibrant, modern office in Exeter city centre, not far from the Cathedral, and there’s never a dull day at Air HQ - it’s a fast-paced working environment – and means you’ll have the opportunity to build on and develop your HR expertise, fully supported by the HR Manager and wider team.

We’re looking for someone who’s a brilliant communicator, who can easily connect with the members of the team to build positive working relationships. You’ll need to be someone who genuinely cares, can be empathetic but equally has the confidence and ability to have difficult conversations, when they’re needed, too.

What you’ll be doing

Day-to-day you’ll be responsible for managing a broad range of admin and people-related activities. For example, supporting the recruitment and onboarding process, managing the team’s annual leave, carrying out 121s, supporting the payroll, contributing to performance and development plans, the people and wellbeing strategy etc. You’ll also get the opportunity to be involved in other ad-hoc project work too.

Who we’re looking for

While you’ll be fully supported in this role, we’re looking for someone who’s happy and confident to work independently, once you’re up to speed. You’ll have a positive outlook, be keen to learn, have an eye for detail, can be discrete and understand and respect the need for confidentiality. As it’s a busy, varied role you’ll also need to be organised and be able to juggle priorities.

It would be a bonus if you’re familiar with employment legislation, equality and diversity and data protection. However, we’re keen to hear from you if you can demonstrate a passion for HR and a desire and commitment to carve out a long-term career.

What will you get in return?

Air Marketing is committed to providing continuous development support and working side-by-side with a super experienced HR Manager – you’ll get that in bucket loads!

There are regular paid company social events, the ability to have work from home days and flexible working is embraced. It’s a healthy working environment, with refreshments on-tap including fruit deliveries, a monthly company lunch (it might not always be a ‘healthy option!’), a wellness program and access to Perkbox that gives you discounts and freebies, plus benefits such as 24/7 access to a GP.
