We’re looking for someone with previous bookkeeping experience, who’s up to speed with VAT and Payroll – which is what you’ll be responsible for preparing - for this organisation. You’ll be AAT or part AAT qualified, with at least two years’ experience of working in a busy finance department.
Using Sage, keeping finance and accounting records up to date
Manage month-end, and support the creation of management and year-end accounts
Help with the implementation of a new ERP system
Support the wider team with to make sure the finance team and operations are running smoothly
Managing invoices, purchase orders and payments
Making sure the internal systems are kept up to date and accurate – for example with purchase and sales invoices
To manage any finance-related queries
To produce any ad-hoc reports, as necessary
As well your finance knowledge, some understanding of Data Protection and applying that understanding in this role, would be an added bonus.
Person-wise you’ll be someone who is able to manage their own workload, enjoys being part of and contributing to the team and can juggle a varied workload. You’ll also like a challenge and is happy to get creative when it comes to problem solving.
