Are you looking for a varied Finance Assistant role, with a great, award-winning company based in Cornwall?  Yes?  Read on!

We’re looking for someone with previous bookkeeping experience, who’s up to speed with VAT and Payroll – which is what you’ll be responsible for preparing - for this organisation.  You’ll be AAT or part AAT qualified, with at least two years’ experience of working in a busy finance department.

Your role:

  • Using Sage, keeping finance and accounting records up to date

  • Manage month-end, and support the creation of management and year-end accounts

  • Help with the implementation of a new ERP system

  • Support the wider team with to make sure the finance team and operations are running smoothly

  • Managing invoices, purchase orders and payments

  • Making sure the internal systems are kept up to date and accurate – for example with purchase and sales invoices

  • To manage any finance-related queries

  • To produce any ad-hoc reports, as necessary

About you:

As well your finance knowledge, some understanding of Data Protection and applying that understanding in this role, would be an added bonus.

Person-wise you’ll be someone who is able to manage their own workload, enjoys being part of and contributing to the team and can juggle a varied workload. You’ll also like a challenge and is happy to get creative when it comes to problem solving.
