Your experience might be from in current role or from an internship, summer or year placement, or perhaps you carried out your dissertation or studies were very focussed in this area. If you are you a graduate, ideally, you will hold a maths, technical, or scientific degree.

What is vital, is that you will have been working with large sets of data and using Excel at an advanced level – V-Lookups and pivot tables are a great starting point.

You will receive full training to allow you to build upon your skills that will see you involved in interpreting requests across the whole business. Therefore, you will naturally be someone who is great at building relationships, is naturally inquisitive to allow you to understand what different departments wants and needs are. With support of your manager you will see the bigger picture and make those vital connections in what is happening: why, where, when and how and have an input and reporting on how improvements and savings can be made. Ultimately, you will be helping to produce a self-serve system with amazing and insightful dashboards.

Your role as a Business Intelligence Analyst will see you involved with:

  • Developing reports that will allow the business to measure against the company’s goals and objectives

  • Managing pricing related data and producing associated reports

  • Explaining to others the findings of the reports and process to change any information on the system

  • Ensure that data is thoroughly checked and cross referenced

  • Produce high quality BI and KPI reports.

The skills and experience that we are looking for in a Business Intelligence Analyst:

  • Working with large sets of data

  • Advanced level of Excel

  • Great communication skills

  • Ability to explain findings

  • Problem solver

  • Aptitude to identify requirements, issues and strive to deliver improvements

  • SQL would be desirable.
