I’m recruiting for an exciting software company who are well established, innovative and also enjoying incredible year-on-year growth! They began with a UK focused client based, but now have customers around the world - and many of them very well known household names.

Despite the recent pandemic the company are continuing to grow and moving forwards with their plans, so they are looking for Backend Developers at both Mid and Senior levels to support this. You’ll be joining an ambitious, forward-thinking team who work collaboratively and share ideas, so your thoughts will be listened to and valued.

The work you’ll be doing will very much keep you on your toes as they continue to evolve their market-leading software solution.

What will you be doing?

  • Developing backend components using strong OO design methods and patterns

  • Working closely with the front end developers to produce efficient and user-friendly systems

  • Improving the maintainability of the code base

  • Testing - improving test coverage of the existing code base and ensuring new code is unit tested

  • Participating in team meetings and workshops to share ideas and best practices

Key skills and experience:

  • PHP, MySQL and LAMP framework experience

  • Experience of AWS, Docker, Jenkins (or similar)

  • Experience working with design patterns

  • Unit Testing knowledge

  • Proven track record and ability to demonstrate code that goes beyond the use of frameworks such as Laravel, Codeigniter and WordPress.
