I'm recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant for a great company, based in Newton Abbot. Along with working on the monthly management accounts, you'll also be someone who has the drive to take the information further and carry out the commercial analysis. You will be someone who is hungry to solve problems, and definitely wants to be in a role that is going to give you development and allow you to really get involved with the company’s continued growth.
Qualification wise, you might be part ACCA/ CIMA qualified, if not you’ll be looking to start this in the near future. The company will also contribute to the funding of your qualification! To help the company achieve its growth targets, they want to be more data driven and this is where you come into play. A key part of your role is explaining to your colleagues the findings of your analysis, and also talk to them about the variances you have found. You will be looking and the whole business and its goals and have an input on how this can be achieved.
The company is wanting someone who isn’t satisfied – in a good way – with the information and reports that exist. The want to make improvements, ask savvy questions and see where reporting can be made more effective; whether this be in time and/or the quality of the information in the report and its presentation.

What will your role of Assistant Management Accountant / Finance Analyst role include?
Preparation of information to be fed into monthly management accounts
Carry out analysis, creating meaningful reports in helping the business making insightful decisions
Automation of daily/ weekly/ monthly reports
Involved in future projects
Maintain and develop (Excel produced) sales invoice templates.
The skills and experience we are looking for in a Assistant Management Accountant / Finance Analyst role:
Advanced user of Excel - pivot tables standard and modelling
High level of numeracy and literacy with attention to detail
Ability to plan and organise own activities to meet shared goals and targets for delivery
Great communication skills and confident in talking to colleagues at all levels and departments
Able to prioritise own workload
Capable of working in fast paced environment
Previous experience of working with an ERP system would be an advantage
ACCA/ CIMA part qualified - desirable, or wanting to do this soon.
