​Are you an IT Support Analyst or recent graduate with strong technical skills and a passion for technology? Or maybe you’ve supported customers to resolve queries in a helpdesk or customer service environment before? You’ll be independent, self-motivated, keen to learn and not afraid to ask questions. You’ll report to the Technical Director and work alongside a team of professionals that will offer support to help you become a more experienced member of the team.

It’s really important you have an excellent telephone manner and are someone who always strives to provide the very best service. You’ll be someone who enjoys building relationships and understands the value of great customer service.

In this full time 1st Line Software Support Consultant role based in Newton Abbot, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Providing email and 1st Line telephone support to clients which could include troubleshooting for external, bespoke and internal applications

  • Windows Support – including software installations and keeping desktop computers running smoothly

  • Creating, deleting and updating users, Computers and Security Groups within Active Directory

  • Renewing passwords and ensuring password security

  • Supporting the Marketing team with keeping the websites running, maintaining security on cloud-based servers, installing patches and website upgrades, and monitoring website performance

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Previous exposure to technical support would be highly beneficial

  • An excellent knowledge of desktop (Windows) computers

  • A good communicator, both written and verbal with a fantastic telephone manner

  • You’ll be autonomous and somebody who can work well using your initiative

  • A natural problem solver, with great attention to detail

The following skills would be a bonus!

  • A relevant degree e.g. Computer Science

  • Programming experience with Java, .NET, Python or SQL

  • Experience installing and configuring software
