In this full time 1st Line Software Support Consultant role based in Newton Abbot, your duties and responsibilities will include:
Providing email and 1st Line telephone support to clients which could include troubleshooting for external, bespoke and internal applications
Windows Support – including software installations and keeping desktop computers running smoothly
Creating, deleting and updating users, Computers and Security Groups within Active Directory
Renewing passwords and ensuring password security
Supporting the Marketing team with keeping the websites running, maintaining security on cloud-based servers, installing patches and website upgrades, and monitoring website performance
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Previous exposure to technical support would be highly beneficial
An excellent knowledge of desktop (Windows) computers
A good communicator, both written and verbal with a fantastic telephone manner
You’ll be autonomous and somebody who can work well using your initiative
A natural problem solver, with great attention to detail
The following skills would be a bonus!
A relevant degree e.g. Computer Science
Programming experience with Java, .NET, Python or SQL
Experience installing and configuring software
The company offer full and ongoing training, and longer-term there’s scope to progress to a more hands-on, client facing role too if you wanted.
