About Julia

​Julia provides support for the recruitment team as well as developing Sarah West Recruitment’s marketing activities. 

In terms of her career history, Julia has broad marketing and communications experience. The first 12 years of her working life was spent with BT, progressing to senior marketing manager and finally making the leap to internal communications.

Over the years, Julia's had a career break to focus on family life, set up and managed her own business and made the return to marketing and communications more recently, so she has a great understanding of how work-life can evolve and change for people. She's also discovered a previously unknown passion for data and statistics, so you'll often find her with her head in our internal systems, putting together facts and figures to make sure we continue to be on our 'A game' as well as discovering insights that can be shared externally too.

Julia says:

"Being part of the Sarah West team, I've learned an incredible amount about the recruitment industry and the employment market generally, and the opportunities (and challenges sometimes) that brings from a marketing and communications point of view.

"I'm able to use and build on the skills I already had that of course has been a big bonus (I still love learning!) and relocating to Devon has been absolutely the right move - I'd recommend it!"
