Hiring managers- how we work

​If you're a hiring manager, here's a guide to how we work!

​As a hiring manager you want someone to listen and understand what you’re looking for in your next hire. And then to find that person for you. Our intention is just that and we’ll also give you guidance and advice throughout the whole process.

We're all about great service

​Our goal is to provide a first rate level of customer service, find you a candidate who fits your team and will be exceptional at the job you’re hiring for.

​We want you to be so happy with the service that we provide you with that you wouldn’t consider going anywhere else when you’re looking to hire new staff. And that you’ll happily recommend us to anyone else you know who is looking to find a new job or new staff.

​All the candidates we submit for your consideration will have been:

  • Interviewed by a trained recruitment consultant who will make sure your role is a good fit to their skills, experience and salary expectations

  • Spoken to about the working location to check they can get there without any trouble

  • Checked to make sure they have an outlook/attitude in line with the company’s

  • Verified as having the right to work in the UK. If they need specific qualifications we’ll verify those too.

  • We’ll support you both through the recruitment process to make sure you see the best of each other and can both make the right decision about whether you can/should work together.

Working together

​When we send you CV’s we’ll need you to get back to us in a timely way with honest feedback. Plus in relation to the interviews that we arrange for you. We’ll also need to have access to the management team involved in the recruitment process for any questions we might need to ask in the course of our work. We may want to give you some advice relating to salaries in the area or anything else that we think might help you to secure the person you are looking for. As well as how you can retain them long term that could mean challenging you on salary scale, but it’s all done with your best interests at heart.

​Our company has a team of consultants who are all on hand to support you, although you’ll have a nominated consultant who will be your primary contact.

​When it comes to candidate attraction we are well versed as to how to attract the right candidates. We’ll search and advertise as necessary. As well as our own high performing site we have access to the major job boards that we advertise on, and search. We also have our own database that’s full of candidates looking for work in the area. We also use social media channels and our network of contacts.

​We’ll make sure we agree terms with you in advance so that you are happy with the cost of our service and understand the guarantees that are in place to protect your investment.

​As members of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) you can be assured that we work to the highest standards within our industry. We have to pass regular testing in relation to the laws that affect recruitment and employment, in order to retain our membership. We also have access to standard documentation and a legal helpline, if we need them.

​Whilst we have a standard way of doing things we are happy to adapt to your needs and this might mean administering skills or psychometric testing, group interviews or assessment centres. We love a recruitment related challenge, there are few scenarios we haven’t come across before/problems we haven’t been able to solve – please do feel free to put us to the test!

Keeping in touch

​We will be in regular contact with you while we are working with you. Then we will agree how frequently you want to hear from us – and will call as agreed to keep in touch.

​Feedback is critical to our success. We will ask you for, and welcome, your feedback at all stages of the recruitment process and also during the probation period of placed candidates. We want to hear the good and potentially anything not so good – your feedback helps us shape our business for the better and improve our service. We also employ a third party company to take regular feedback from our customers on our behalf, we find that sometimes we find out a little more as a result of getting someone else to do the asking! Our reputation is everything, we’re working hard to make sure that the businesses and candidates we work with are happy.
