At Sarah West, we’re all about delivering a top notch service to both clients and candidates. We’re also a member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) – the professional body for recruitment – that means we abide by a code of professional practice.

Providing professional and ethical recruitment

Director Sarah says “It goes without saying that we’re committed to providing professional and ethical recruitment. However being a member of the REC gives us a framework to work to. The policies give us clear guidance and make sure we’re sticking to the legislation we’re bound by too. It gives everyone we work with that added assurance that we’re a reputable agency. Plus the REC is an independent body to turn to in the unlikely event of any issues.”

The nine principles we work to are to have respect for:

  • Laws

  • Certainty of engagement

  • Honesty and transparency

  • Working relationships

  • Diversity

  • Ethical international recruitment

  • Confidentiality

  • Safety

  • Prompt and accurate payment

“On top of that, the REC also provides us with news, policy updates and training amongst other things that makes sure we’re up to speed with what’s happening in the industry and continue to deliver a first class service.”

You can find out more on the REC’s website.
